Shark Heroes : John Chisholm - IDing basking sharks vs. white sharks

Introducing our newest Shark Hero - John Chisholm!  John knew he wanted to be shark biologist by the time he was 4 years old.  He has worked for the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries for the last 23 years.  John is part of the Massachusetts Shark Research Program (MSRP) and studies the life history and ecology of sharks.  His current research  uses acoustic tags to assess the behavior of white sharks along the coast of Cape Cod.

Shark researchers are delighted that there are so many more people aware of sharks in the ocean and are eager to report sightings, so John has given us the following information to help ID white sharks vs. basking sharks.
