  • We recommend that families book in advance and make a reservation to tour the facility. It is not required, but please know that on rainy days we can be very busy, and we can reach capacity quickly. If we reach capacity, we will ask visitors to return at a different time.

  • No, unfortunately, there is no onsite parking at the Shark Center Provincetown, but ample parking is available nearby. For more information on parking, visit provincetown-ma.gov.

    If you are unable to walk the pier to access the Shark Center Provincetown, you can be dropped off in front of the facility, and vehicles have a turnaround at the end of the pier. Cars will need to be moved and parked in a designated parking lot, as outlined here.

  • Yes, we have handicap-accessible restrooms that are open to museum guests only. Restrooms are not open to the public at this time. Public restrooms are available across the street at the Harbormaster building.

  • We have designed the space to engage visitors of all ages. We have some exhibits/concepts that are designed to engage youth, as well as other content to provide an enriching experience for kids and adults.

    The museum is handicap accessible and stroller friendly.

  • The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy does not allow visitors or program participants to bring their pets on our property. We do allow service animals, as outlined by the Massachusetts’s disability rights law and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

    Under the Massachusett’s disability rights law, Emotional Support Animals are not service dogs, and we are not required by law to allow them entrance to our facility or on our property. Due to these dogs not being required to go through a certified training, we will deny access for any emotional support animal.

  • Yes! Support white shark research and education by shopping our gift shop. Proceeds from our gift show directly support the non-profit organization.

  • No, we are not an aquarium. We recommend families go to the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History or visit one of the conservation areas to view wildlife.

  • Yes! We prefer credit cards right now, and we do accept cash.

  • Food is not allowed in the museum or shop. We have benches out front on the pier where you can finish any snacks before coming inside.
