Shea Mahoney

Development Officer

Shea works with donors, business partners, and foundations, building relationships that connect people to AWSC’s mission, writing grants, and securing funding to support AWSC’s programs. Shea has always been fascinated by sharks, but never dreamed she’d have the opportunity to work for white shark conservation right here in New England. Inspired by AWSC’s mission, Shea first got involved in 2015 as a volunteer. Since then, she has worked in many different areas of the organization before officially joining the AWSC team in 2021. Prior to her time with AWSC, Shea worked in the craft beer industry. Shea holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston University, and a Masters in Business, Social Impact from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. She serves on the Board of Directors for Emerald Hollow Therapeutic Riding.
