Michaela Nix 

Community Educator 

Michaela creates meaningful learning experiences for all ages through her work with the community. She provides shark education opportunities, inspiring the next generation in and out of the classroom, while also coordinating AWSC’s STEM-based initiative, Gills Club. Through Gills Club, Michaela is dedicated to connecting girls with female scientists from around the world, sharing knowledge, and inspiring the next generation of shark and ocean advocates.
