Ashleigh assists in data processing and collection efforts across many of the different ongoing research projects including the photo identification work on individual white sharks as well as maintaining and updating the acoustic detection data that is shared on the Conservancy’s White Shark Logbook. She also helps lead AWSC’s field research efforts using different aerial technologies to characterize the nearshore behavior of white sharks and to test the spotting efficiency of observers using drones under a variety of environmental conditions. She holds Master’s in Marine Science and Technology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from the University of New England.
