Where is the Shark Center located?

The Shark Center is located at 235 Orleans Rd, Chatham, MA, 02650. We can be reached by phone at 508-348-5901 or by email at sharkcenter@atlanticwhiteshark.org.

Do you still have virtual reality and the fossil bins?

In working to create a clean and safe environment for all visitors, we will not have our virtual reality exhibit in 2023.

Our fossil bins returned in the summer of 2023! However, this is now a ticketed area that is open during the warmer months (weather dependent). Admission to the fossil area can be added on to the cost of your general admission tickets at a per person rate.

Do you have parking available onsite?

Yes, the Shark Center has a small parking lot with parking in the front and rear of the facility. There is one handicap parking space in the front of the building as well.

Our parking lot is a one way traffic flow, so please note that all visitors need to enter from the Route 28 side of the building (Orleans Rd).

Do you have restrooms available?

Yes, we have handicap accessible restrooms that are open to visitors.

Restrooms are not open to the general public, or window shoppers at this time.

Is your facility family friendly?

We have designed the space to engage visitors of all ages. We have some exhibits/ concepts that are designed to engage youth, as well as other content to provide an enriching experience for adults

Do you have a gift shop?

Yes! Support white shark research and education by shopping our gift shop. Proceeds from our gift shop directly support the non-profit organization.

Are you an aquarium?

No, we are not an aquarium. We recommend families go to the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History or visit one of the conservation areas to view wildlife.

Do you accept cash and credit cards?

Yes! We accept cash and all major credit cards.
