Join the AWSC team for Jawesome January at the Shark Center. On loan from NOAA Fisheries Apex Predator Program in Rhode Island will be a selection of 30 jaws from a variety of shark species. Go at your pace on this self-guided tour of our exhibit hall and special jaws exhibit. An educator will be available throughout the visit to answer questions and provide further information. Visitors will have 60 minutes to explore the space and know that we will be limiting the number of visitors per hour to 8 individuals. In an effort to protect guests, staff, and exhibits, this is a touch-free experience. Guests will not be allowed to handle shark jaws.
The Shark Center has exhibits to teach you and your family about the natural history of white sharks in this area, the ongoing white shark research, and their role in the marine ecosystem. Renovated this past winter, the outreach facility has a new layout with new exhibits for you to learn all about white sharks. Designed to create awareness and inspire conservation, this facility will have you walking out an ocean steward.
Guests are required to wear a mask throughout their visit to the Shark Center.
Reservations are required for this event!
